Gift made with and from Love

This year for Christmas my niece decided to make her mom a quilt. She had never made a quilt. Did not even have a pattern. She measured out squares on paper bags making her squares that would be sewn together.



What was so special about this quilt? It was made from Dustin's clothes. She cut some of his clothes up and made her mom this quilt. In one corner there is a piece of the pocket from one of his dress shirts. Quoting my Aunt Joyce "every quilt needs a little character".

Like I said this was quilt made WITH love FROM love.

Christmas Bonus

All I can say is be prepared. This year my Christmas Bonus was a Cannon rebel with a 300 zoom (Thank you Uncle Kenny). The pictures are being snapped. Action shots also. I love my camera. This blog will probably starting taking on a new life. So, be prepared......

My brother is a DADDY!!!!!

It's official! My brother (Uncle Jim) is a DADDY!! Can you believe it, and we love his little boy.
No Name as of yet, but it is coming. There are several names being passed around. Pa thinks he should be named domino. Cousin Betsy thinks Seville. I have several I like McGoo for Mr. McGoo he always looks so serious because of the brown eye brows.

Jim is thinking maybe Prancer, because he prances when he walks.

First visit to UAB

I got a phone call from K on Monday (9/14/09) to come to Bham. She was not feeling well. Took one look at K and drove her back to H'ville to visit our doc. Well, you guessed it. It was the flu.
We had K home for the week (with a dr's excuse of course). On Saturday it was time to take K back.

Lil Loveday had never been to UAB before so we thought this would be a good time. We got permission for her to go to K's dorm (no one under 16 allowed without permission). Anyway, we stayed maybe an hour. On the ride home I turned around and this is what I see (sorry about the pic's. I used my phone).

I guess college life is just to exciting!

First goal of the season

Lil Loveday had her second soccer game Saturday. Guess what? She scored her first goal! We were so excited for her! I wish I had my camera and could have captured her face. She was so excited and proud with her goal. Here's hoping we score many more.

K's Home

Bet you can't tell everyone is happy that K came home for a couple of days. Double click the picture and you will see two dogs between her legs and Lil Loveday on her arm. I was cooking supper, they were sitting in the kitchen floor watching me.

Update on the Boy!

The boy! The vet has his name as Bolt. We still call him Little Bit. In this picture
it is Lil Loveday and Little Bit. Do you think he is loved?




One of his favorite spots to sleep is in the curl of Roscoe's tummy. Roscoe has done great! He let's him climb on him, they wrestle. They even eat out of the same food bowl. Now! that is amazing. The food is where I thought Roscoe would draw the line. He is very gentle with Little Bit when they wrestle.

He is growing, but it appears it is mainly all in the ears. What do you think? I need to weigh him to get an update.
