What a BIG sister will do for her LITTLE sister

My younger sister is in Hawaii with her husband for a couple of months. Well, this weekend her cat Winston (who hates me) got really sick. Everyone who knows me - knows I love animals and will do anything for them. Anyway, Winston is 18 years old and he was really sick....so I went and got him and took him to the emergency animal clinic on Sunday evening (thanks M and S for going with me).

Winston was in renal failure and there was really nothing they could do for him. My sister asked that I be with him when they put him down. Well, I automatically said I would do this for her (I have never been able to do this before NEVER, not even with my own animals).

The picture you see below is me holding Winston telling him goodbye, tears rolling down my face, rubbing his head the way I know I would do if he was mine. N - I did this for you because you couldn't, but it was very hard.

To think like a Loveday

Lil Loveday and I were riding along to a friends house. When Lil Loveday asked the question "who names us". Well, I began to answer how we get our first name...but that is not what she wanted. Where did we get the name 'Loveday'? Well, I told her how that I was a McFarlen, like Mama, Pa, Uncle Jim until I married Daddy and he gave me the name Loveday.
Well.....the day goes on.....we clean house....other things.....jump to 5:00.
Lil Loveday and I are riding to town to go to a birthday party at Build a Bear. It's about a 30 minute ride and we have had a busy day. I started talking to her to keep her awake. I ask the question, tell me about your boyfriend? Lil Loveday "you know I don't have a boyfriend".
Me "Oh". Lil Loveday "I am looking for a boy with a really neat last name".
Ah Ha - Always on her toes. Lil Loveday is my thinker.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

A couple of friends and I took Lil Loveday to her first Broadway. We went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Lil Loveday did WONDERFUL. Although she sat in my lap the whole time (don't know why I had to purchase a ticket) she watched the entire show. She kept up with the story and loved the singing. I'm so glad I decided to take her to this one. I really want to take her and K to Beauty and the Beast.
