For those of you who know we are such "home bodies". Here is a picture of J in front of one of the castles he went to visit.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving today. Yes, I know we are early. This gives everyone a chance to celebrate with the other side of their families. It was a very good turn out. Above is a group picture of my family that turned out.
We had a nice time with plenty of food and fellowship.

Here's a cute picture I got of my girls and just had to put it on. Happy Thanksgiving to K and Lil Loveday. I am truly thankful that God gave me you two.

White Squirrel

I walked outside of Uncle K's today to run an errand, and look what I saw. These pictures are not that great because I took them with my phone. I have been trying to catch a picture of this little critter since I saw him last month.

Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoy watching him.

The Boy

I promised several post back, to post about the boy. This is our boy. His name is Roscoe or as I call him W.W. Roscoe (Waddle, Waddle Roscoe) or C.C. Dumpling (Carmel, Chocolate Dumpling).
This dog was given to Kenna by someone (we really don't know them) who knew our next door neighbor and no longer wanted him.
He is a long haired dachshund and spoiled rotten. He is very much a one owner dog and Kenna is his owner. He waits at the door for her when she is at work. He gets very excited to see her come home.

Scrapbooking

I thought I would show you guys what the challenge looks like when we get it at our scrap booking crop. Here is all the items out of their package. We are given a challenge pack for $5.00 and then by the next month we need to have turned it into a scrapbook page. I have really enjoyed these challenges, because they make me use things I might not ordinarily use or buy.

This is the picture of the packaging and how it was all bundled together. I have this week to get my page together....so stayed tuned for the latest challenge picture.

Special Visit with Aunt Joyce

I have been back to Charlotte to visit with my grandmother. She is 95 and time with her is precious. I stay with my Aunt Connie and Uncle Johnny (or the cuz Bets) while in Charlotte.
This visit I had a chance to visit with another Aunt. Joyce lives in Mooresville and is very talented. I have been wanting to visit with her for a while now. She and her children came and stayed a week with us. She is truly a remarkable lady. She is very talented when it comes to quilts. Take a look at this quilt she made my grandmother. http://fieldofchocolates.blogspot.com/2008/08/joyful-task.html

Enjoy the link above and check out some of her quilts and passions. She also gives out a website for free quilt patterns (Going Goofy would love this). Quilting is just one of her talents. She is very good at pottery. She had her own little private place set up in her house where she can work on her pottery and has her on kiln. She had a larger area set up with a cutting table and her two sewing machines for her sewing adventures. Oh! My scrapbook friends I was drooling for that cutting table what layouts I could do on it (I really don't think it would even fit in my little room). I always get motivated just talking to Joyce, but to see where she lives and works and all of her handwork was really a great treat. I will be visiting again if the invitation comes again.

Joyce is the type of lady that you would like to mentor your daughters in the way of keeping house...not just keeping house but making it a home. Thanks Joyce for wonderful day.
