My Lady

This is my lady, as you will remember from August. She was so very hot. I just hated to see her pant. She is on up in years and it was time for her visit to the vet. So, I bit the bullet and......

as you can see we got a little haircut. Well....maybe not so little. Her look was so drastic that when Ashton and I got her in the car, Ashton exclaimed "we adopted a puppy". No, Ashton that is our Lady, she just got a haircut. Oh! Why did I not think sooner and say, "yes, yes we did adopt a puppy and she is all yours. Her name will be Lady and she will be your responsibility". I have got to start thinking quicker on my toes....but you all must remember "these toes are getting old"

Challenge

Another challenge was issued by preservingthemoments. It was to do a layout about yourself. This is very hard for me. I have much more fun doing layouts on my family....but I cannot turn down a challenge. Especially when quietobservations and tomkatscratch graciously offered to do one for me, about me. BOY! that was scary.

Lunch Frustrations

You ever have a friend who brags about this great place to eat (mainly Shogun). They continually tell you "Oh yes, we will call the next time we go". Well then you learn (several times on the sly) that your friend is continually going without informing you or better yet calls when they (quietobservations-by-michelle and tomkatscratch) are at the restaurant at lunch time on a Friday just to rub it in that they did not call you.

Oh! It's on, you better believe IT IS ON!!!!

I said goodbye today

I said goodbye today to a member of our family. Blackjack was bought for K when she was two or three. She officially named him William Blackjack because she wanted him named after her daddy. Blackjack would have been 15/16 in October, but he just could not make it. I had to make the decision today. It was not easy...but I hope on this labor day I can remember it as a Labor of Love. It was one of the hardest things I ever did, but I loved him too much too let him suffer any longer.

On a happier note the picture above was take because Blackjack was so ornery. He had laid his head on a book I was reading called Redeeming Love. We all laughed because Blackjack had very few redeeming qualities and love was not one of them.
