Healthy Turtle

If you remember my post back when. K got a turtle last summer in Florida. Here she is in a little bowl, perched on her rock enjoying the sun. Well....little Charlotte got a bigger aquarium with the works (filter, lamps, etc...). We also found some yummy food that Charlotte likes. Little dried shrimp and other little dried critters. Well Charlotte has eaten, eaten, eaten and eaten this past year.

Now take a look at Charlotte:

She has more than doubled her size and she has learned when we come in the room if she swims up to the glass, we will get the green bottle (her food). She follows it across the front and to quote J "You can see her shake when the green bottle comes out".

I wish dogs were this easy to house break, don't you?

4? Birthday

Yesterday was my 4? birthday. I had a wonderful day. Heard from lots of people calling to tell me Happy Birthday. My MIL send me a beautiful plant. My two friends S and M took me to a wonderful meal at Cattleman's in Fayetteville. We had fried Mushrooms (one of my favorites - and boy did I eat em'). I had a rib eye steak with a loaded baked potato. A house salad with some wonderful honey french dressing on it.

S and M surprised me with a birthday bag full of goodies. Pampered Chef seasoning and a kitchen tool I have been wanting from Pampered Chef. A beautiful bracelet.....but my favorite look at these cute PJ's. Are they not just adorable (sorry blogger turned my picture again).

LOVE THEM! LOVE THEM! LOVE THEM! Thanks ladies for making my birthday special. S's daughter M made me a wonderful banana pudding (my favorite dessert). Thanks M.

What a lovely b'day I had yesterday. I topped it off by going to my monthly crop and having a good time. Well, until next year - it was a great B'Day.

Cirque Du Soleil

Uncle K gave us tickets to go Cirque DU Soleil we had a wonderful time. Just us girls. They would not let you take pictures inside. So you will just have to enjoy these few.

As you can see it was myself, K, Lil Loveday and Aunt N. It was a nice time. The show was excellent.

Scrapbook Challenge

This was the scrapbook challenge for last month. I have been slacking in that I have not been getting them done. I need to get back in the swing of things and hopefully I will.

There is more to come about the last weekend that I will try to get posted before this weekend.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. Friday night was prom as I posted for everyone to see K. Saturday morning J and I had to work at the Spring Fling at Lil Loveday's school. I was very grateful that K got up early and went with us (I was not counting on that).

Well, K and Lil Loveday ran into one of Lil Loveday's friends. Lil Hale! Lil Hale and Lil Loveday made their rounds and had a wonderful time as you can see. (sorry blogger turned by pictures again).

Don't you just love seeing their faces when they are having fun. I know I do.

Surprise!

Surprise. I was intending to work on my scrapbook challenge for the month (it will be coming this week I am sure). Instead I got an invitation from K to sew with her. She loves to make bags. Well, lookie hear what mom has done.

I was proud of my bag the only thing I did wrong was the lining is suppose to be lime green with brown and green leaves. I sewed it in backwards. Okay you can stop laughing now.....I think I did quiet nice.

Senior Prom

Here she is the Senior.

K went with a really good friend of hers. They have been friends for the last three years. There is nothing there. Just a hang out buddy. Which is good they are going to different colleges.

Canvas for K

I wanted you guys to see the canvas that Sara Mincy painted for K's room. I picked out the verse and told her the colors and this is what she came up with. Do I know her? Not personally I stumbled across her blog and loved her painted canvas with Bible verses and other sayings. She stated she would love to paint a canvas for people. This is what she came up with.

I love it against the bright pink wall, orange bathroom wall and black dress form. I think it brings it all together. Her bedspread actually has the bright green in it also. We have a "sad" 8 year old

If you remember my post about pets. You will remember that K bought Lil Loveday a white mouse. Lil Loveday wanted a little white mouse after seeing the movie Stuart Little. So of course she named it Stuart Little. Well, that was almost two years ago. She has taken very good care of Stuart Little.....but during the day, while Lil Loveday was at school Stuart Little died. We found him today looking rather peaceful. Needless to say we have a sad 8 year old.
